Understanding the Boil 

A Seafood Boil, Clambake, or Low Country Boil is a culinary delight where jumbo shrimp, authentic andouille sausage, red bliss potatoes, corn on the cob, and sweet Vidalia onions are layered and seasoned with our unique blend. These ingredients are expertly cooked together and served with our homemade cocktail sauce. This has earned Outer Banks Clambakes the title of Best Clambake on the Beach. We take pride in using fresh, quality ingredients, and when possible, locally sourced. Our andouille sausage is imported from Bulgaria to give that authentic low-country boil flavor. Want more variety? You can enhance your boil with additional amounts of seafood like snow crab legs, clams, mussels, and lobster tails by the pound, Steak, Chicken, Pork, and Select local Fish! 

The Process. Our approach to a traditional Low Country Boil, Seafood Boil, Clambake or Frogmore Stew is unique. We don’t just boil everything. Our signature process involves a combination of boiling and steaming to ensure each ingredient is cooked to perfection. Our secret to achieving the perfect flavor that enhances each ingredient while retaining its true flavor is our secret seasoning. This is our super-secret blend of herbs and spices and placed in every pot. Customize Your Pot. All our base menu items are ordered per person but get steamed together! After choosing your base, you can add extras to your boil, choose non-seafood options, and don’t forget to include dessert! Let’s Cook. Our Signature Seafood Boils take approximately 30 minutes to steam, ensuring each element is cooked just right. Serve it Up! The best way to enjoy a boil, in our opinion, is to set it up buffet style on your table and let everyone dig in! 

Remember to lay down a tablecloth - it can get messy! Relax and enjoy your favorite drink while we cook and entertain your guests. Once the cooking is done, we serve the meal buffet style, on a fully equipped table. While you savor the meal, we clean up our equipment and share local knowledge. After everyone is done, we help pack up your leftovers, clean the table, dispose of any trash, and take it away, leaving you with a full belly and a memorable vacation experience.
